Brand Changes for Winter '23/Spring '24- Who's in and Who's out? August 02 2023
Part of any Clothing Independent is changing the brand mix to freshen up a stores offering, as consumer tastes develop as fashion changes. Some brands are a constant that spread the generations and always in the public eye, while others can ebb away, change direction or simply lose popularity.
As we are now in the Autumn/Winter 2023 season and bought for Spring/Summer 2024, here are the brand partners that we will be saying goodbye to, while welcoming others to our store.
Lyle & Scott
Just landed here at J&B and is already proving a strong seller that sits well with our other heritage brands such as Fred Perry. For 150 years Lyle & Scott have been part of British Clothing Apparel. We will feature many of their more Premium items and their 'Tonal' Eagle is proving particularly popular for those love lo-key branding. We expect big things from L&S judging by the reaction we have had so far.
Original Penguin Archive
After welcoming back Cult brand OP® to our store, a new 'Archive' Collection has been introduced for AW23 and we are one of the few stockists in the U.K to be offered this retro/modern collection. With a 60's vibe and a golfing twist, this part of the Original Penguin Collection that offers a unique, sharp vibe.
After many years of being a Trojan stockist, the brand no longer fits in with our commercial plans so will sadly be waving goodbye. Norwich and Norfolk still has other Trojan stockists or you can buy direct from their website, www.skaandsoul.com
Baileys & Giordano
This Premium Dutch brand is solely focused on quality Independents. The Bailey's brand concentrates on Casual, Knitwear & Jackets, with Giordano focusing on polos and shirts, especially floral prints. With many of our other continental brand partners, quality is paramount and a focus on Independents like ourselves and not the big stores.
While we will be having a collection delivered for AW23, we will no longer be a stockist for Gabicci Vintage from SS24 for commercial reasons. Like Trojan, other stockists are available locally or direct from their website.
Despite Ben Sherman failing to deliver for SS23, they should still be delivering 2 collections for AW23, including a 'John Lennon' themed capsule range. However, from SS24 will only plan to run a small 'Plus Size' Collection and are dropping their regular range. We have been a brand partner for many decades and in the 90's were our best selling brand, but times move on.
We are also in discussions with other brands and will keep you updated with any developments. We look forward to seeing you again in our Norwich store with our website available 24/7 as always with Next Day U.K Shipping on many items.
